Sell gold in North Shore Nassau
From the Gold Coast villages to Great Neck and Port Washington, the north shore is the far side of the county from the shop. Roma Jewelry is at 4222 Sunrise Hwy in Massapequa, and from Syosset or Oyster Bay the Seaford-Oyster Bay Expressway makes it a mostly straight run south.
Routes south from the north shore
From Syosset and Woodbury, Jericho Turnpike leads to the Seaford-Oyster Bay Expressway (NY 135). Take it south and exit onto Hicksville Road (NY 107) for the last stretch to Sunrise Highway. From Oyster Bay, Route 106 south connects to the same expressway via Split Rock Road and Jackson Avenue.
From Glen Cove, Route 107 goes the whole way: Cedar Swamp Road, then Broadway through Jericho and Hicksville, then Hicksville Road. From Great Neck, Manhasset and Port Washington, take the Long Island Expressway east, then the Northern State Parkway briefly, then the Meadowbrook State Parkway south to Sunrise Highway, and head east.

The Gold Coast and the peninsulas
This page covers Syosset, Woodbury, Great Neck, Manhasset, Port Washington, Roslyn, Glen Cove, Sea Cliff, Locust Valley, Oyster Bay and Bayville.
Its landmarks are some of the best known on Long Island: Theodore Roosevelt’s Sagamore Hill and Planting Fields Arboretum near Oyster Bay, Old Westbury Gardens, Sands Point Preserve near Port Washington, and the Miracle Mile shopping strip on Northern Boulevard in Manhasset.
Estate and period pieces
Estates from older homes often include Art Deco mountings, signed designer work and antique pieces. A buyer who only weighs metal can quote melt on these and cost you the collector premium. Roma Jewelry looks at each piece on its merits and tells you when something is worth more intact. How selling gold works.

Questions from North Shore Nassau sellers
How do I get to Roma Jewelry from Syosset or Oyster Bay?
Take the Seaford-Oyster Bay Expressway (NY 135) south and exit onto Hicksville Road (NY 107) to Sunrise Highway. OSRM routing puts Syosset at about 10.6 miles (around 15 minutes without traffic) and Oyster Bay at about 15.6 miles (around 24 minutes).
What is the route from Great Neck, Manhasset or Port Washington?
East on the Long Island Expressway, a short run on the Northern State Parkway, then the Meadowbrook State Parkway south to Sunrise Highway and east. From Great Neck that is about 22.9 miles, or around 34 minutes in free-flowing traffic.
Will signed or antique jewelry be valued as more than scrap?
Yes. Antique, Art Deco, mid-century and signed pieces are looked at individually rather than by weight alone. If something is worth more intact than melted, you will be told before any offer is made.
