From Patchogue, Sayville, Bayport, Blue Point and Oakdale, get on Sunrise Highway (NY 27) heading west and stay on it to Massapequa. From Ronkonkoma, Holbrook and Bohemia, Lakeland Avenue runs south to Sunrise.
From Port Jefferson, Stony Brook and Setauket, the quickest route takes Nicolls Road and the Smithtown Bypass (NY 347) to Route 111, then the Southern State Parkway west to Hicksville Road. The Long Island Expressway west is the familiar alternative.
